DepEd employees join writing workshop
MANILA,
Oct. 6 (PNA) -- Some 100 non-teaching personnel of the Department of
Education (DepEd) recently attended a three-day Technical Report
Writing Workshop at Tagaytay Haven in Tagaytay City.
Technical
writers and those responsible for gathering, consolidating, preparing
and writing reports from regions 1, 2, 3 and Cordillera Administrative
Region (CAR) attended the cluster workshop.
In
a statement, Education secretary Jesli Lapus said the workshop focused
on improving the skills of the technical writers and enhanced the
quality of their reports.
“Let
us not overlook the critical role played by our non-teaching personnel
in attaining the goals of the department,” Lapus said.
The
participants were taught on the preparation of annual reports,
memorandum, media releases, feature stories, news stories and business
letters.
Other
technical writing seminars followed in Olongapo City, Ecotech
Center–Cebu City and the Regional Education Learning Center (RELC) in
Davao City. (PNA)
