DAVAO
DEL NORTE, June 21 (PNA) -- Congressman Anton Lagdameo said he does not
want to see his wife, actress Dawn Zulueta, joining politics but "will
leave it to her to decide."
Zulueta’s
name has surfaced as a senatorial candidate after the administration
Lakas included her name in a shortlist of potential party candidates
for senator in 2010.
House Speaker Prospero Nograles and Davao del Norte Governor Rodolfo del Rosario were also in the list.
“I
am flattered that she is being considered,” said Lagdameo nephew of
banana magnate Don Antonio Floirendo of the Tagum Agricultural and
Development Company (Tadeco).
But Lagdameo said he is not comfortable with the idea of Dawn joining politics noting that two in the family is too much.
“Isa lang ang dapat sa amin,” said Lagdameo, who is on first term as congressman. “Di pwede sabay-sabay,” he added. (PNA)
