Meet on media's expanding role in promotion of Culture, Tourism, Environment slated in Boracay Island, Oct. 26-27
MANILA,
Oct. 4 (PNA)-- A seminar-workshop sponsored by the Publishers
Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PAPI), in cooperation with the
National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Boracay
Foundation, Inc., the Aklan Press Club, Inc., other agencies and
institutions is slated to be held in Boracay Island from October 26-27,
this month.
The
expanding role of the media in the preservation of culture, promotion
of tourism, and protection of environment will be the main theme and
features of the two-day press meet.
Mediamen,
which includes broadcasters, publishers, editors, columnists,
reporters, photojournalists, school campus publication advisers,
selected campus editors and writers, information officers, some
advocates in the preservation of cultural heritage, promotion of
tourism and environmental protection are attending the event
Limited participants to the Boracay media summit will largely come from the Visayas with some delegates from Mindanao and Luzon.
Juan
P. Dayang, PAPI president, said media organizations such as press club
officers, broadcasters, and other media communicators can also
participate the Boracay media strategic convergence.
